Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 26, 2026
Last Updated: September 26, 2026

Please read these terms carefully. By downloading, installing, or using Swavan Studio, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

1. The Application

Swavan Studio (the “App”) is a connection-management and operations tool for SSH, SFTP, tunnels, remote desktops, databases, containers, and related workflows. These terms apply to the App, its command-line tools, documentation, and related services provided by Swavan (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

2. License and Open Source

The App is open-source software distributed under the license published with its source code. Your rights to copy, modify, and distribute the source code are governed by that license. These Terms govern your use of the App and associated services and do not reduce rights granted by an applicable open-source license.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

You must not use the App to gain unauthorized access, disrupt systems, distribute malware, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, or engage in unlawful activity.

4. Credentials and Local Data

The App stores sensitive connection information locally in encrypted storage and connects directly to destinations you configure. You control the data and credentials you enter. Lost vault passwords or encryption keys may make protected data unrecoverable. Additional details are available in the Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Systems and Services

The App can interact with third-party servers, operating-system services, cloud storage, plugins, databases, container platforms, and remote-desktop services. We do not control those systems and are not responsible for their availability, security, content, terms, or actions. You are responsible for confirming that your use is authorized and correctly configured.

6. Experimental Features

Features marked experimental are optional, under active development, and may change, malfunction, lose compatibility, or be removed without notice. Do not rely on experimental features for critical workloads without independent testing and backups.

7. Updates and Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Updates may be required for security or compatibility. We do not promise that the App will always be available, error-free, compatible with every platform, or suitable for every environment.

8. No Professional Advice

The App and its documentation do not provide legal, security, compliance, or professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating whether your configuration and use satisfy your requirements.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or security.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Swavan and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, credentials, profits, revenue, business, or access, arising from or related to the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Swavan and its contributors from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your access to systems without authorization.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. Your right to use associated services may end if you materially violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including responsibility, warranty, liability, and license provisions—will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or product reasons. We will update the date above and may require a new in-app acknowledgment when material changes are published. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

14. Severability and Entire Agreement

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable open-source licenses form the agreement concerning the App and supersede prior statements on the same subject.
